Material Handler I is responsible for safely moving materials and products throughout the manufacturing facility, supporting production flow, and maintaining organized inventory. This role plays a key part in ensuring materials are available where and when needed to keep operations running efficiently.

Essential Functions:

  • Operate a forklift to safely move materials between departments, yard, and production areas
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and finished goods
  • Stock and organize materials in designated inventory locations
  • Supply production areas with materials to maintain workflow and efficiency
  • Perform basic visual inspections of incoming materials for quality and accuracy
  • Conduct counts and verify inventory against documentation
  • Identify and report equipment issues, material discrepancies, or safety concerns
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production and warehouse operations

Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year of experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Ability to safely operate (or obtain certification to operate) a forklift
  • Basic math skills with the ability to perform counts and simple calculations accurately
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and basic documentation
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. regularly
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
