About the Role

A Manufacturing Material Handler plays a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials throughout the production and warehouse environment. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, moving, and distributing raw materials to support manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and upholds the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency, aligned with best manufacturing practices.

What You'll Do

  • Put away and store materials: Move product to their respective stock location.

  • Material movement and delivery: Pick, stage, and deliver materials to production lines based on work orders and just-in-time (JIT) schedules. Stock product to the manufacturing lines ensuring there are zero stockouts.

  • Inventory management: Maintain accurate inventory records through scanning, labeling, and system updates. Conduct routine cycle counts and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce discrepancies.

  • Operate equipment: Safely operate carts, forklifts and pallet jacks, to transport materials throughout the facility.

  • Maintain workspace: Uphold 5S and lean manufacturing standards by keeping all work areas organized, efficient, and hazard-free.

  • Ensure quality and safety: Perform quality checks on materials, report nonconformances, and follow all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) guidelines.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Communicate with production, logistics, and quality teams to ensure seamless coordination and timely delivery of materials.

  • Support continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline material flow, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency through Kaizen and process improvement activities.

  • Data accuracy: Use ERP or warehouse management systems (WMS) to log material movements and inventory updates in real time.

What You'll Bring

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.

  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics environment.

  • Equipment operation: Certified or willing to be certified in forklift, and pallet jack

  • Technical proficiency: Familiar with ERP/WMS systems (Odoo, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and barcode scanning tools.

  • Physical ability: Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs, standing for long periods, and working in varying temperature environments.

  • Attention to detail: Ensures accuracy in material identification, labeling, and documentation.

  • Teamwork and communication: Works effectively in a collaborative production environment with clear, respectful communication.

  • Lean manufacturing mindset: Understanding of 5S, Kanban, JIT, and continuous improvement principles.

  • Problem-solving: Proactively identifies and addresses process bottlenecks and material flow issues.

  • Safety commitment: Maintains full compliance with company safety procedures and regulatory standards.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • Warehouse/manufacturing site environment:

    • Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk up to 3 miles per day, bend, lift items up to 75+ lbs

    • Ability to operate mobile equipment or be certified within a time frame.

  • May involve multiple shifts, early mornings, or overtime depending on operations.

  • Fast-paced environment with changing priorities; may require tight coordination and adherence to process controls.

Entry-Level: $18-$20

Mid-Level: $21-$23

RSUs: $1,000 Annually (5-year vest)
