We are looking for a Manufacturing Trainer to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to the Director, Stack and Column Manufacturing will be based in Fremont and Sunnyvale, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role 5 days a week.
Tactical Responsibilities
- Create training profiles for new team members
- Maintain training records for team members
- Work with production team to develop training plan for manufacturing team members and assign team members to appropriate trainings
- Create and communicate training schedule
- Conduct training audits monthly
- Partner with HR and Safety to coordinate compliance training
- Work with subject matter experts to develop and maintain standardized work for current skill trainings
- Work with production team to create and conduct on-the-floor lean trainings
- Shadow current skills training (to be a backup as needed)
- Partner with Operations subject matter experts (SME) to develop standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Partner with Operations Management to design and develop, and support delivery and evaluation of technical training programs around Packaging, Process, and Maintenance.
- Deliver Train the Trainer training courses and on-going coaching support to operators providing OJT to new employees
- Audit, spot check, and rectify compliance gaps on work instructions and training material where identified
- Understand and support individual development needs and plans where required by Operations
- Drive continuous improvement in all Technical Learning & Development processes
Strategic Initiatives
- Develop and maintain a visual way to see training requirements vs. training certifications in station
- Develop and maintain a site-wide cross training matrix
- Identify and implement continuous improvement ideas for the skills training center
- Identify future skills training needs and work with team to develop new trainings for skills training center
- Support Lean Training curriculum
Skills and Experience:
- BS degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing or Related Field.
- 7+ years of experience in a Manufacturing environment in a process/manufacturing/or operations/materials management role
- Required Skills:
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Strong verbal, listening, presentation and written communications skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts and hands-on problem-solving techniques
- Project management skills with teams made up of varying levels
- ATD certification preferred (Associate of Talent Development)

Salary Ranges:
$118,900.00 - $171,100.00
