By leveraging expertise in renewable energy development together with H2, the goal of 174PG is to be an early leader in the Clean H2 market targeting the ZEV transportation, long duration energy storage, low carbon ammonia export and low carbon emission power generation industries. 174 Power Global offers the full spectrum of energy solutions – from power plant development, design, construction, operations, and maintenance. With proven capabilities across the renewable energy value chain. 174 Power Global is expanding into energy campuses to support load growth for data centers and clean hydrogen, leveraging internal knowledge and expertise, the company will secure and enable clean/renewable powered sites for power generation, for the grid, data centers, clean hydrogen production and its derivatives.

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Manager of Project Development will act as developer for specific U.S.  projects. With focus on energy campuses, gas turbines clean hydrogen project development and building strategic partnerships. The Manager will work closely across several Hanwha affiliate companies involved in the value stream and will report to the 174PG Vice President of Clean Hydrogen Business Development.  This position will be located in Houston, but open to other locations for the right candidate. Travel requirement up to 30% of the time.

RESPONSIBILITES
  • Identifying mega trends and other important macro factors that could shape and impact the energy transition economy to strategically position 174PG to be a leader in the industry.
  • Work closely with energy development companies through bi-lateral agreements to develop low carbon energy projects which generate competitively priced power.
  • Participates in due diligence of projects, as appropriate.
  • Set up and manage a detailed schedule for each task & milestone in Project Development.
  • Prepare and present presentations to Senior Management as requested.
  • Work with different internal teams to negotiate contract terms (project finance, engineering, project management, procurement and legal)
  • Represent 174PG at industry events and network to enhance relationships within the industry.
  • All other duties as assigned by Senior Management.
  • Regular attendance, in accordance with the company’s attendance policy and supervisory assignment, is an essential job duty requirement for this position.


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of the US power generation markets and technologies with a strong interest in clean hydrogen and energy transition.
  • Existing experience with suppliers, consumers, and potential partners in the electrical power generation space.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a technical or business Master's degree. 
  • 5 + years of technical experience in related power markets.
  • Entrepreneurial minded and strong self-starter approach to work requiring minimal supervision.
  • Strong prioritization, communication, and organizational skills; and the ability to quickly work on new tasks and accommodate changing circumstances.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

$140,000 - $180,000 a year
