Lucid Motors is currently seeking a Low Voltage Systems Engineer, Plant Vehicle Engineering at our Advance Manufacturing Plant facility in Arizona (AMP-1). Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the design intent assembly requirements enforcement on the assembly line of Low Voltage - Hardware Components including but not limited to wire harnesses, lighting components, ECUs, brackets.
- Come up with robust interim countermeasures through factory process deviation requests to mitigate emerging and potential issues.
- Come up with robust permanent countermeasures through Engineering Change Request process and CAD modeling solutions in 3DEXPERIENCE.
- Data-driven and fact-based proactive problem solving & issue avoidance due to process deviations or critical part quality issues.
- Troubleshooting and solving complex component/system level problems using standard problem-solving techniques and electronic measurement equipment.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing plant's cross-functional team and other design teams within the company.
Requirements:
- Engineering degree in mechanical, Electrical or automotive, MS preferred.
- 3-5 years automotive experience in design and release and/or vehicle attributes.
- Experience in automotive manufacturing plants OEM or Tier1.
- Be proficient in reading and interpret 2D wire harness drawing and electrical schematics.
- Experience in wire harness manufacturing process and design.
- Experience in lighting components manufacturing process or design.
- Knowledge of wire harnesses repair methods.
- Understanding of power distribution and grounding strategy.
- Previously participated in prototype builds or launch events.
- Exceptional communication and documentation skills are required using Atlassian products.
- Travel is required between the factory in Casa Grande, AZ and Engineering HQ in Newark, CA on as needed basis.
Preferred:
- Engineering in training/ Engineering fundamentals Certification.
