Job Description:
Deriva Energy, a portfolio company of Brookfield Renewable U.S., who is a nationwide leader in sustainable energy provides wind, solar, resilient backup power, and managed energy services to over 1,000 projects across the U.S., with a total electric capacity of more than 5,100 megawatts of nonregulated renewable energy is seeking a Lead Procurement Specialist - IT, to be based in their Charlotte, North Carolina headquarters.
Reporting to the Associate Director, Strategic Operations Procurement, the Lead Procurement Specialist will be responsible for the management and execution of activities surrounding the procurement of IT Software, Goods and Services, with a large focus on sourcing, negotiation, and contract management. This is the lead level of the Procurement classification hierarchy. Employees at this level manage work in various areas of specialization, with minimal supervision.

Master’s degree in electrical engineering
Strong problem-solving skills
Proficiency in computer programming (any language)
Experience with PLC programming and configuration
Experience with power engineering
Experience with computer networking
Self-motivated, with a high level of initiative
Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet stated deadlines
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and foster good relationships with teammates and business partners
