Reporting to the Process Support Manager, the Jnr. Business Analyst is a member of the Process Support group responsible for providing critical system and business process support for the ETRM users in natural gas physical and financial trading. Process Support is the first line of support for user issues, providing training, and the interface between IT and the Business, ensuring clear communication is provided in both directions. The group acts as the owner of the ETRM system, and interfaces to all corporate systems, and is involved in all projects impacting these areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Be part of the team responsible for the timely daily support of business continuity operations.

  • Gain experience as a Horizon super-user, working side-by-side with users in testing, troubleshooting, and training.

  • Build relationships with business users to ensure clear and accurate understanding of all business processes.

  • Provide level 1 user support for Horizon and integration with external and corporate systems.

  • Configuration and maintenance tasks specific to commodity activity.

  • Acts as a liaison between the business and all other corporate functions regarding systems integration and support.

  • Assist functional area to define, develop, and maintain business processes for the organization.

  • Support corporate areas including Internal Audit, External Auditors and Process Compliance by creating ad-hoc data extracts and queries and fulfilling data requests.

  • Maintain detailed procedures for primary processes in Horizon (contract administration, deal entry, scheduling, valuation, accruals, actualization, invoicing, risk reporting, etc.).

  • Assist users with Horizon and system integration usage and issue identification/classification.

  • Develop functional requirements for improvements and enhanced system capabilities, as needed.

  • Facilitate end user acceptance testing.

Required Qualifications:

  • Extensive working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).

  • Working knowledge of SQL

  • The legal authorization to work in the US for anyone other than current employer.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Math, Accounting, Finance or Business-related degree.

  • Experience using the Horizon ETRM system for Natural Gas, Power or LNG

  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English

  • Experience utilizing project management principles.

  • Experience utilizing proven Business Analyst principles.

  • Working knowledge of either Power BI or Tableau for visualization reporting.

  • Working knowledge of Python
