Position Summary
Canadian Solar is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Manager, Investor Relations to support the execution of the Company's global Investor Relations function. This individual will serve as a key operational partner responsible for coordinating quarterly earnings activities, managing investor relations communications, supporting financial reporting processes, and overseeing critical third-party vendor relationships.
Working closely with Finance, Accounting, Executive Leadership, Legal, and Corporate Communications, this role will help ensure the timely preparation, review, and distribution of earnings materials while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional organizational skills, strong business acumen, outstanding written communication abilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the quarterly earnings preparation process by collecting financial and operational information from cross-functional business partners.
- Review submitted data for completeness, consistency, and potential anomalies prior to executive review.
- Assist with the preparation, editing, formatting, and quality review of earnings presentations, press releases, and other investor communications.
- Coordinate internal approval workflows for earnings-related documents while ensuring adherence to established timelines.
- Schedule and manage quarterly earnings logistics, including executive meetings, international conference calls, webcast coordination, and virtual meeting support.
- Serve as the primary administrator for investor relations platforms, webcasting services, newswire distribution providers, and market intelligence subscriptions.
- Monitor vendor contracts, manage subscription renewals, oversee departmental budgets, and support pricing negotiations to optimize operating expenses.
- Maintain investor relations calendars, project schedules, and key reporting deadlines.
- Partner with Finance, Accounting, Legal, Corporate Communications, and Executive Leadership to ensure accurate and timely external communications.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by documenting processes, identifying operational efficiencies, and enhancing Investor Relations workflows.
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling material non-public information and sensitive financial data.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Communications, or a related discipline.
- 5–8 years of experience supporting Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, Finance, Executive Operations, or a related corporate function.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, corporate finance principles, and quarterly earnings processes.
- Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills with strong editing and proofreading abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to coordinate activities across global teams and multiple time zones.
- Experience managing vendor relationships, contracts, subscriptions, and departmental budgets.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams.
- Experience supporting publicly traded companies or SEC/financial reporting processes is highly preferred.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and work effectively with executive leadership.
- Experience working in a global, cross-functional environment is preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours during quarterly earnings cycles to support global business operations.
