Job Description:

Role Overview

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels across Fluence’s warehouses, project sites, and service locations in the Americas region. This role ensures data accuracy, supports material availability for projects and operations, and contributes to effective inventory control processes. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, experience with ERP systems, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records across multiple sites, including warehouses, manufacturing partners, and project locations.
  • Perform regular inventory reconciliation activities (cycle counts, physical counts, adjustments) and investigate discrepancies to ensure data integrity.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with Material Planners, Procurement, and Logistics teams to support timely replenishment.
  • Process inventory transactions in the ERP system, including receipts, issues, returns, and transfers.
  • Support project execution by preparing and coordinating material kits, staging inventory, and tracking deliveries.
  • Ensure compliance with Fluence inventory control procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Create and update reports on inventory status, aging, excess/obsolete materials, and shortages.
  • Collaborate with warehouses, 3PL partners, and internal teams to resolve inventory issues and improve process efficiency.
  • Assist with root-cause analysis of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or related supply chain functions.
  • Experience working with ERP or WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and data accuracy.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency in Excel and basic data analysis.

Additional Skills

  • Experience in renewable energy, electronics, manufacturing, or hardware-based environments.
  • Knowledge of inventory control methods, including cycle counting, FIFO, safety stock, and material traceability.
  • APICS/ASCM certification or coursework (e.g., CPIM).
