The Real Estate Intern will support the company’s real estate and project development efforts by ensuring the accuracy, organization, and integrity of lease documentation and related Salesforce (SF) records. This internship provides hands-on experience in land agreements, option and lease review, database management, and document control within a growing renewable energy company.


This role is ideal for a detail-oriented student interested in renewable energy, land development, or real estate operations who enjoys working with contracts, organizing documentation, and maintaining accurate database records.



Key Responsibilities

Lease & Option Review

  • Review land Option and Lease agreements to verify accuracy and completeness.
  • Compare executed agreements against data entered in Salesforce to ensure consistency.
  • Identify discrepancies and collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve inaccuracies.
  • Complete Salesforce data inputs for Orion projects based on a detailed review of Options/Leases.

Salesforce Data Integrity

  • Verify that all data entered into Salesforce (SF) for each Option/Lease is correct and up to date.
  • Maintain accurate records related to project status, lease terms, and documentation.
  • Support ongoing improvements to data entry and verification processes.

Document Organization

  • Partner with Real Estate team to organize physical lease files in storage areas.
  • Implement best practices for organizing lease files by State and then by project.
  • Support the development of structured document management systems.



Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, Sustainable Leadership, Engineering, Renewable Energy Technology, Real Estate, Business, or a related field, with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2028.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to leverage AI tools effectively.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM software preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a variety of people in dynamic situations.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects.



Details & Duration of Internship

  • Rate of Pay: $20 per hour
  • Internship Duration: June 4 – August 28 (end date flexible)
  • Work Location: Intern will report regularly in person to our Annapolis, MD office.
  • Hours of Work: 15–20 hours per week
  • Hours and duration are subject to change based on company need.
