Repsol is seeking an engineering student to intern with the Integrity Engineering Excellence Center during the summer of 2026., based out of Horseheads, NY.

You will experience genuine teamwork, and work alongside highly qualified and experienced colleagues, while you work on live projects and operations. At the end of your internship, you will present your summer project to our staff.

Internship Details:

  • Position will be supported onsite, M-F, non-exempt (hourly) 40 hrs. per week, at our field office in Horseheads, NY.

  • Students must be available for the full duration of the internship from May 18-Aug 7.

  • Interns will receive an hourly wage but are not eligible for benefits or paid time off. Interns will be compensated for observed company holidays.

  • Non-local candidates may be considered provided they meet the required qualifications and understand they are responsible for any travel to/from Horseheads and summer housing. A stipend is included to offset personal expenses.

Job Description: The intern will spend time both in the field and in the office, to be assigned a key project within Integrity Engineering and supervised by a senior member of the Integrity Engineering Team

  • Field and on-the-job exposure to upstream oil & gas operations and midstream gathering field: such as various pigging operations, NDT and pipeline inspections, maintenance activities, etc.
  • Study of the complete natural gas production value chain including both upstream and downstream operations: visiting wellsites and processing centers to understand how gas reaches the customer.
  • Learning CIMS software and Integrity Data Management Improvements within CIMS. i.e., alignment of pipeline data and historical data uploads, review of static equipment integrity data.
  • Conduct other activities, as needed.

Requirements for Consideration:

  • Fully authorized to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship now or in the future. Additionally, we are not authorized for employment under OPT/CPT/F1 visa programs.
  • Undergrad (or higher) Mechanical engineering degree in process, or related discipline.
  • Students with an expected graduation 2027-2028 are encouraged to apply (juniors or sophomores). May 2026 graduates may only be considered if enrolled in a post-graduate program.
  • Must have cumulative and major GPA of 3.3 or higher, to be confirmed with transcript (unofficial transcript is acceptable)
  • Must be available for a continuous 12-week period for the duration of the 2026 summer intern program, starting May 18th and ending on August 7th.
  • Preference for candidates with some internship experience, ideally within oil & gas but not required.
