Job Description:

Role Overview:
The Americas Plant Site Controller will be a member of the GID Finance Accounting team and will report directly to the GID Director of Supply Chain and Manufacturing.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive controller who will be responsible for leading all day-to-day accounting activities for our US plant site operation. In addition, the role will lead the month end close process from start to finish and ensure proper financial reporting relating to the financial activities conducted at our various plant sites supporting the Americas region. You will proactively lead the discussions on Inventory management from WIP to finished goods, Lease and Fixed Asset Accounting, Burden and Overhead Cost Allocation and control performances while working with the rest of the team in a seamless and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the lead Finance Accounting professional supporting the accounting related to Inventory management from WIP to finished goods, Lease and Fixed Asset Accounting, Logistical Cost Burdens and Overhead Cost Allocation specific to the plant site and related control performances.
  • This role will contribute and support GID Corporate Accounting responsibilities such as AP accruals and authorizing AP payments.
  • Develop scalable financial administration for Americas Plant Sites
  • Lead and support monthly close responsibilities related to Consolidated Corporate initiatives.
  • Develop long-standing trusted relationships with various internal and external parties and
    collaborate seamlessly in a professional manner to ensure financial compliance with respect to the Americas Plant Sites
  • Develop, lead and implement process improvement initiatives
  • Execute and further develop efficient and effective internal control structure at the Americas plant sites
  • Provide guidance on complex accounting and operational matters, balancing technical accounting requirements with manufacturing, supply chain, and business performance objectives to support sound decision-making.


Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have/need:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • You will need to be hands-on and a pro-active self-starter with a proven track record of grit and determination to drive process improvements.
  • 8 years of progressive accounting experience, having started her/his career at a large international accounting advisory firm, followed by in-house experience
  • In-depth knowledge/exposure to Product Sourcing Strategy, AP Purchase Order and Receipting Management and Manufacturing and Fixed Asset Costing.
  • Attention for detail and can connect financial and operational compliance requirements
  • Strong analytical skills
  • CPA license is considered a strong plus
  • Experience with ASC-606 and percentage of completion construction agreements
  • Good communicator, good stakeholder management skills and a proactive personality
  • Ability to work in a dynamic organization, embracing change and working independently
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word, Teams and PowerPoint are required
  • Experience with Floqast Balance Sheet Application is a plus
  • Experience with Sharepoint is a plus
  • SAP ERP experience is a plus

  • Ideally high energy, proactive, hands-on, solutions-oriented contributor, possessing an intellectual curiosity and eagerness to strive for constant improvements
  • Energy or energy storage business knowledge is an advantage
