In this position your focus will be to increase operational efficiency, company profitability, and customer satisfaction by accurately and safely receiving, shipping, consolidating, and storing materials, as well as picking and packing orders for shipments. The General Logistics position will also be responsible for inventory management. The General Logistics position reports to the Service Data Processing Team Leader and works in close collaboration with the Repair Center Team.

Task and Responsibilities

  • Perform basic material handling tasks, to include receiving and shipping products, order picking, internal movement of materials and/or products
  • Maintenance and housekeeping according to workflow, such as recycling goods according to company guidelines
  • Refilling of general supplies and consumables as needed
  • Serves as liaison between external vendors and/or internal departments relating to inbound and/or outbound goods
  • Various other duties as required by the department

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency required
  • Proficient in related computer applications including Microsoft Office and others
  • Strong attention to detail with emphasis in data entry
  • Ability to multi-task accurately, meet goals and objectives
  • Ability to work independently or within a group environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal and written with proper grammar as well as mathematical skills
  • Aptitude for problem solving
  • Ability to read and understand operational procedures and work instructions
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain quality in a fast-paced work environment
  • Results/deadline oriented with effective follow though
  • Must be able to prioritize, utilize critical thinking, and adjust to change
  • Available to work overtime and shift work when requested
  • Possesses a valid Passport, or has the ability to obtain and pay for a valid Passport

  • Employees will perform duties in an office environment and a field setting
  • Employees will be occasionally exposed to tripping hazards
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually low to medium

General Logistics I

Task and Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all incoming and/or outgoing shipments, including integrity of packaging and visual signs of damage
  • Count, sort and place stock materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, or location
  • Understand the inbound and outbound flow of materials
  • Manage material flow
  • Completes all orders for external customers and/or internal departments in an accurate, timely and supportive manner
  • Stock and maintain warehouse and pack/unpack customer orders in accordance with company policy and procedure
  • Actively participates in Lean activities by identifying and providing suggestions on areas within the department for improvements

Requirements

  • Forklift certification preferred, or willingness to obtain a forklift certification
  • Experience in general logistics and/or warehouse operations is highly desired, Warehouse Management System (WMS) knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to properly operate basic equipment (i.e.: compactors, pallet jacks, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of ERP systems and Digital Tools systems preferred
  • General knowledge in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices

General Logistics II

Task and Responsibilities

  • Assists with Return Goods Authorization (RGA)
  • Identify nonstock and/or damaged material and store in proper warehouse
  • Processing defective material from Fronius International and/or local suppliers in collaboration with Field Service Management and quality management
  • Prepares shipping documents, including packing slips, bills of lading and shipping labels
  • Analyze and execute product discrepancies
  • Storing and picking product and material with usage of forklift equipment
  • Prepare and ensure outgoing shipping materials/products meet specifications
  • Actively participate in Lean initiatives by identifying and conducting suggestions on areas within the department for improvements

Requirements

  • Certified forklift operator
  • Capable of working off platforms and forklifts at various heights
  • Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Experience in general logistics and/or warehouse operations
  • Ability to properly operate advanced equipment (i.e.: forklift or overhead air crane, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean production, and quality methodologies (i.e.: 5 S or Kanban)
  • Proficient in related ERP and Digital Tools
  • Proactive approach; identifies and solves problems
  • Proficient in data analysis and visualization data
  • 1-2 years of experience in the General Logistics I role

General Logistics III

Task and Responsibilities

  • Subject matter expert (i.e.: material flow, processes, inventory management, WMS)
  • Assist in inventory control by conducting location validations and stock counts
  • Ability to take ownership with de-escalation support and provide resolution
  • Able to attend and represent internal departments in meetings and relay information to interface partners
  • Provide guidance, training, feedback, and support
  • Ordering of general supplies and consumables
  • Performing maintenance of operating equipment according to schedules
  • Coordinating scheduled pick-ups for recycling, scrap metals, compactors, etc.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of ERP and Digital Tools
  • Advanced knowledge in data analysis and data visualization
  • Willingness to complete additional trainings relating to team management, job specific tasks, polices, and procedures
  • Knowledge of shipping and export control
  • Experience in process and material flow
  • Efficient in multi-skilling
  • Basic preventative maintenance knowledge
  • Advanced Lean Management Training (i.e.: KATA Coaching, Value Stream Management) preferred
  • Sets an example for others by demonstrating adherence to safety rules, procedures, policies and follows Lean Manufacturing principles and techniques
  • 2-3 years of experience in the General Logistics II role
