The General Logistics position is responsible for the movement of materials, storage of goods, distribution, and handling. Daily tasks of this position include reception of all products, documentation verification, storage of goods, quality control, stored materials inventory, and order preparation as well as dispatching and shipping. The General Logistics position maintains data in Baan, SharePoint, and ShippingNet.
Task and Responsibilities
- Performs maintenance and housekeeping according to workflow (e.g., recycling goods according to company guidelines).
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of all incoming and/or outgoing.
- Locates, retrieves, packs, ensures quality, manages parts inventory and prepares items for shipment in accordance with company policy and procedure.
- Performs various visual and/or manual activities to inspect or verify the accuracy of the product.
- Understands and manages the inbound and outbound flow of materials
- Utilizes equipment and apparatuses to fulfill daily tasks.
- Counts, sorts, and places stock materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, or location.
- Follows standard practices and processes in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be obtained and reported to management.
- Meets assigned goals and objectives with timely and concise outcomes.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain forklift certification
- Experience in general logistics and/or warehouse operations is highly desired, Warehouse Management System (WMS) knowledge is a plus
- Effective verbal, comprehension, and written (with proper grammar) English communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of ERP systems and Digital Tools systems preferred
- Available to work overtime and shift work when requested
- General knowledge in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices
- Ability to operate basic equipment (e.g., compactors, pallet jacks, etc.)
- Ability to focus and follow through to resolution, with an aptitude for problem solving
- Strong attention to detail with emphasis on data entry
- Ability to work independently or within a group environment
- Ability to multi-task and strong organizational skills
- Ability to read and understand operational procedures and work instructions
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain quality in a fast-paced work environment
- Results/deadline oriented
- Proficient in related computer applications including Microsoft Office
- Willingness to learn Lean Management (e.g., KATA Coaching, Value Stream Management)

General Logistics II
Task and Responsibilities
- Performs various inventory movement transactions.
- Analyzes and executes product discrepancies to avoid shortages/overages.
- Tracks and enters material transfers in ERP systems.
- Actively participates in lean initiatives by identifying and reporting suggestions on areas within the department for improvements.
- Performs maintenance of operating equipment according to schedules.
- Establishes troubleshooting and testing of equipment and system components using devices, software utilities, and various hand tools.
Requirements
- Certified forklift operator (No at fault incidents in prior 12 months)
- Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Experience in general logistics and/or warehouse operations
- Ability to properly operate advanced equipment (e.g., forklift or overhead air crane, etc.)
- Successful completion Level I skills assessment
- Active Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean production, and quality methodologies (e.g., 5 S or Kanban)
- Proficiency in related ERP and Digital Tools
- Proactive approach; identifies and solves problems
- 2+ years of experience in General Logistics I role
General Logistics III
Task and Responsibilities
- Works on problems of diverse scopes where analysis of data requires evaluation
- Acts as subject matter expert (e.g., Test systems, product generation, or processes).
- Collaborates with procurement/COP to ensure proper receiving of materials
- Reconciles all discrepancies on goods received and reports to management
- Assign projects (e.g., equipment upgrades/improvements, etc.).
- Attends and represents internal departments in meetings and relays information to interface partners.
- Maintains the integrity of inventory accuracy by analyzing/executing product discrepancies
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of ERP and digital tools
- Experience in warehouse operations with a strong focus on process optimization and the use of digital tools to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Advanced knowledge of inventory, shipping, and hazardous materials
- Sets an example for others by demonstrating adherence to safety rules, procedures, and policies
- Advanced Lean Management Training preferred
- Efficient in multi-skilling
- Successful completion Level II skills assessment
