The Gas Trader will be responsible for executing and optimizing trading strategies across European gas markets. This role requires strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The Gas Trader will contribute to the team’s P&L, manage risk, and build relationships with key market participants, supporting the company’s efforts to maximize the value of its gas portfolio and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Execute proprietary and/or asset-backed gas trades across European hubs (TTF, NBP, PEG, MIBGAS, etc.), with a focus on the Spanish market.
Optimize storage, transport, and LNG positions to maximize commercial value.
Conduct market analysis to identify trading opportunities and emerging trends in short-term and seasonal markets.
Ensure robust risk management and compliance with internal and external regulatory frameworks.
Collaborate with analytics, scheduling, and risk teams to ensure accurate trade capture, reporting, and performance analysis.
Build and maintain strong relationships with counterparties, brokers, and market operators.
Support the Head of Gas Trading and other traders in developing and executing advanced trading strategies.
Prepare regular reports on trading performance, market insights, and profitability for senior management.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
3–7 years of front-office trading experience in European gas markets, with a preference for experience in Spanish transport and storage.
Proven track record of delivering P&L results and managing trading strategies.
Strong understanding of European gas fundamentals, storage economics, and LNG flows.
Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Excel; experience with ETRM systems (e.g., Allegro, Endur) is highly desirable.
