Role Description

We are seeking a highly organized and execution-oriented Finance Manager to own and scale TeraWatt’s investment governance processes. This role partners closely with the CFO and cross-functional leaders to ensure investment decisions are disciplined, well-structured, and aligned with company priorities.

This role is responsible for managing the Investment Committee (IC) process end-to-end, improving the quality and consistency of deal evaluation, and driving execution on key finance initiatives. It is a high-impact position with visibility across senior leadership and direct influence on how strategic decisions are made.

Success in this role means establishing a structured and scalable Investment Committee (IC) process that is consistently followed across the organization. Investment materials are clear, high-quality, and decision-ready, enabling efficient and informed discussions. IC meetings run smoothly, remain focused on key priorities, and result in clear decisions and next steps. In parallel, key finance initiatives are well-coordinated and progressing on schedule, with strong alignment and engagement across cross-functional stakeholders throughout the investment process.


Core Responsibilities

Investment Committee (IC) Governance 

  • Own and manage the end-to-end IC process, from deal intake through final decision and follow-up

  • Partner with the CFO and leadership team to prioritize agenda topics and ensure alignment on key decisions

  • Review investment materials (memos, models, business cases) to ensure clarity, rigor, and decision-readiness

  • Facilitate IC meetings to drive focused, efficient discussions and clear outcomes

  • Track decisions and action items, ensuring accountability and follow-through across teams

  • Continuously improve IC processes to balance speed, transparency, and disciplined financial oversight

Strategic Finance & Execution

  • Support execution of high-priority initiatives led by the CFO

  • Drive coordination across Finance, Commercial, and Operations teams to ensure alignment and progress on key projects

  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and decision-making tools

Fundraising & Capital Planning Support

  • Assist in preparing investor materials, including presentations, data rooms, and financial analyses

  • Support due diligence and execution for debt and equity transactions

  • Help coordinate capital planning and investment tracking across the organization


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field

  • 7+ years of experience in investment banking, strategic finance, consulting, or corporate development

  • Experience supporting executive-level decision-making processes (e.g., Investment Committee, board, or leadership forums)

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights

  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, with experience presenting to or working with senior leadership


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with investment committees, transactions, or capital allocation processes

  • Background in infrastructure, energy, real assets, or related sectors
  • Experience improving or building governance processes and workflows

$160,000 - $180,000 a year
Compensation for this role is determined by several factors, including the cost of labor in specific geographic markets, and these ranges are intended to provide a helpful reference. The actual compensation offer will be based on the candidate’s location, skills, level of expertise and experience, and internal equity considerations. In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package and, where applicable, performance-based incentives.
