Finance Business Partner – Product Costing

Job Summary:

We are looking for FBP, Product Costing to support Supply Chain operations, to deliver accurate, data-based information and analysis. The focus of the role is to provide a high degree of financial transparency and business modeling across the company and facilitate business decision coordination with all departments.

Responsibilities:

1. Planning, Target Setting & Cost Modeling
   1. Define and track material cost targets, including vendor tooling and supplier risk
   2. Establish commodity / part-level cost targets aligned with the business plan
   3. Ensure accuracy and governance of Bill of Materials (BoM) structure and costing
   4. Manage BoM tracking to ensure structure accuracy and sourcing alignment
   5. Maintain vehicle / model-level cost targets based on volume mix
   6. Develop and validate cost models, incorporating raw material, weight, sourcing, and engineering/design changes

1. Financial Reporting & Variance Analysis
   1. Prepare monthly financial reports (Actual vs Budget vs Forecast)
   2. Perform variance analysis and provide root cause insights
   3. Consolidate and reconcile financial data across planning cycles

1. Investment Analysis & Business Case Development
   1. Develop ROI / NPV analysis for supplier investments and cost optimization initiatives
   2. Build profitability models, including payback period and return metrics
   3. Support senior management decision-making through structured financial evaluations

1. Cost Optimization & Benchmarking
   1. Conduct benchmarking studies to evaluate cost competitiveness
   2. Support cost reduction initiatives (e.g., TVM, Change Control)
   3. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements

1. Business Partnering & Decision Support
   1. Partner with Sourcing, Engineering, and Operations teams
   2. Support material demand planning and sourcing strategies
   3. Provide financial insights, analysis, and recommendations for key decisions

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or related field
• Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) – preferred
• At least 10 years’ relevant experience
• Proven technical, quantitative and critical-thinking skills, high level of independent judgment, initiative and creativity to identify and clearly communicate key performance drivers to management
• Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments with a high degree of autonomy and accountability for results
• Established ability using Microsoft Office software with a high proficiency with Excel
• Finance analyst experience at an Automotive OEM or Tier 1 Supplier – a huge plus!
