Engineering Technical Support

This position is responsible for assisting with the engineering and design requirements for new and existing substations throughout the AES Ohio system. Assist with the engineering design for all or parts of substations, carrying out specific job assignments including: preparation of specifications, evaluations of proposals, design of physical substation layouts and control systems, construction management and field engineering.

Responsibilities:

· Assist in maintaining substation prints, design standards, and various databases.

· Assist with project documentation procedures.

· Perform specific assignments by learning and applying effective engineering, planning and organizing skills.

· Assist in the planning, design and construction management of substation projects.

· Work under supervision of experienced engineers, receives guidance in the use of AES Ohio engineering and construction standards as well as utility industry nomenclature and guidelines.

· Complete assigned special projects including research, analysis and recommendations to Management.

· Perform other work as assigned by Manager.

Education Required:

· Associate or Bachelor’s in Engineering degree
