Job Description
Apex is seeking an Electrical Engineering Summer Associate. We hire summer associates that are passionate about sustainable clean energy.
Responsibilities:
Support the engineering, design, and construction of renewable energy projects
Assist with electrical design layout and drawings for wind, solar, and storage projects
Assist with electrical modeling wind, solar, and storage projects
Assist with editing project contractual documents and technical exhibits
Support communications with key project stakeholders
Support building out new analytical tools for site modeling and optimization
Support construction submittal reviews and responses for on-going projects
Perform other duties as needed
Qualifications
Undergraduate or graduate student studying electrical engineering
Knowledge of project management concepts preferred
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others
Course work or experience in the energy/power system industry; renewable energy experience is ideal
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
High proficiency with Excel
Experience with ETAP, PSSE, or PSCAD is preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Expected graduation date in December 2026 or May 2027
Additional Information
The summer associate program will run from June 1 through August 7 but we can be flexible with the start and end dates

Type: Non-Exempt
Paid Internship: Undergraduate, $17/Hour; Graduate, $27/Hour
