Job Description:

Role Overview

This role reports to the VP, Enterprise Applications and leads the strategic framework and operational execution of Governance, Risk, and Compliance, Quality Assurance, and Release Management across the Enterprise Applications ecosystem. The Director ensures that technology platforms meet global regulatory standards, maintain high availability through disciplined testing practices, and follow structured deployment controls to minimize business disruption and risk.

Key Responsibilities

Governance, Risk, and Compliance

  • Oversee the design and execution of IT General Controls and Segregation of Duties frameworks for Enterprise Applications in scope to ensure audit readiness for financially impacting systems such as SAP.
  • Maintain strong SOX compliance posture across applicable application environments.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments across the application portfolio and drive remediation plans to address identified vulnerabilities.

Quality Assurance and Test Automation

  • Build and lead a centralized Quality Center of Excellence providing standardized testing services across enterprise application domains.
  • Drive adoption of automated testing using Tricentis Tosca to support regression, integration, and end to end business process testing.
  • Establish performance and load testing standards to ensure platforms can support peak business volumes without degradation.

Release and Change Management

  • Define and manage the enterprise release calendar, coordinating cross platform deployments across integrated systems such as Salesforce and SAP.
  • Serve as the final authority for Change Advisory Board decisions to ensure changes are appropriately tested, documented, and approved.
  • Oversee transport and deployment management processes to maintain code quality and prevent environment conflicts or drift.

Process and Environment Management

  • Partner with DevOps teams to ensure non production environments remain stable and aligned with production configurations.
  • Define, track, and report key stability and quality metrics including Mean Time to Recovery, Change Success Rate, Application Test Coverage, and Automated Test Coverage.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on platform reliability and deployment discipline.

Innovation

  • Identify opportunities for automation and AI driven insights within Governance, Quality, and Release Management domains.
  • Pilot and scale Generative and Agentic AI use cases within platforms of ownership where measurable business value can be delivered.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Ten or more years of experience in Enterprise IT, with at least five years focused on GRC, Release Management, or Quality Assurance within complex ERP or SaaS environments.
  • Strong technical understanding of SAP transports, deployment lifecycles, and enterprise change management.
  • Hands on experience with automated testing platforms, with Tricentis Tosca preferred.
  • Proven experience managing IT application SOX compliance, governance frameworks, or similar regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to act as an objective gatekeeper, making firm go or no go decisions based on risk, data, and system readiness.
