Lucid Motors is seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of Logistics Operations to lead our end-to-end logistics strategy and execution across our vehicle and powertrain manufacturing network. Reporting directly to the VP of Logistics, this leader will be responsible for ensuring seamless, cost-effective, and scalable logistics operations across inbound, outbound, and internal material flows.
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in large-scale automotive manufacturing environments, has a deep understanding of complex global supply chains, and is a proven leader of high-performing teams. This role is critical in supporting Lucid’s rapid growth, new program launches, and our mission to redefine mobility through innovation and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead all aspects of logistics operations, including inbound transportation, material flow, interplant logistics, and Warehousing Optimization and finished vehicle distribution.
· Partner closely with Manufacturing, Material Flow Engineering, Material Planning, Transportation, Supply Chain, Production Control, Quality, and Launch teams to ensure synchronized and just-in-time delivery of materials.
· Develop and optimize scalable logistics strategies, networks, and processes that align with Lucid’s manufacturing footprint and long-term growth plans.
· Oversee third-party logistics (3PL) providers and ensure compliance with service level agreements, cost targets, and quality standards.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives across logistics systems, material handling, packaging, transportation, and warehouse operations.
· Utilize data analytics and KPIs to monitor performance, drive efficiencies, and support data-driven decision-making.
· Champion cross-functional collaboration to ensure flawless vehicle and powertrain launches and a world-class customer delivery experience.
· Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
· Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing team across multiple locations and time zones.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
· 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in logistics and supply chain operations, with a minimum of 5 years in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment.
· Deep knowledge of inbound, outbound, interplant logistics, packaging engineering, transportation, and warehouse management systems (WMS).
· Demonstrated success in scaling operations, implementing lean material flow strategies, and launching new manufacturing programs.
· Proven experience leading complex global networks and managing third-party logistics providers.
· Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change across all levels of the organization.
· Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and digital logistics tools.
