At Lyten Poland, we are looking for an experienced and business-oriented Director of Legal & Compliance who will lead our legal, compliance, and data protection (GDPR) function. This is a key leadership role, acting as a trusted advisor to executive management and ensuring that legal strategy is fully aligned with business objectives. You will play a critical role in enabling growth, managing risk, and safeguarding the company’s legal and reputational integrity in a fast-scaling, international environment.

What you will do

  • Lead and develop the legal, compliance, and GDPR function across the organization

  • Define and implement legal strategies aligned with business priorities

  • Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on legal, regulatory, and governance matters

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks across all areas of the business

  • Oversee legal disputes, claims, and litigation

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documentation

  • Ensure compliance of all legal documents, policies, and practices with applicable laws (Polish and international)

  • Drive corporate governance standards and support best practices across the organization

  • Partner with business stakeholders to proactively manage legal risks and improve contract awareness

  • Lead and manage relationships with external legal advisors and law firms

  • Build and scale the internal legal function, ensuring effective and efficient service delivery

  • Drive continuous improvement of legal processes, contract management, and systems

  • Deliver legal training and guidance to internal teams

  • Support executive decision-making and contribute to broader business strategy discussions

  • Provide regular reporting on legal risks, activities, and key developments

What we are looking for

  • Qualified legal counsel with 10+ years of post-qualification experience (law firm and/or in-house)

  • Master’s degree in Law; professional qualification preferred

  • Broad expertise across corporate, commercial, civil, labor law, litigation, and GDPR

  • Strong understanding of how legal matters impact business operations and strategy

  • Proven experience advising senior leadership in complex, international organizations

  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or technology environments is a strong advantage

  • Experience building or leading legal functions is preferred

  • Fluency in English and Polish
