About The Role
The Development Analyst is responsible for managing and developing commercial solar projects from early stages through to construction-ready status. The Analyst role acts as a liaison between the sales and operations teams, ensuring key project entitlements are achieved. The Analyst will be responsible for following up on client requests, making sure deliverables are prepared in a timely manner, analyzing client documents and portfolios, and supporting the sales team in external interactions across clients. This role requires a highly organized, strategic thinker with solid solar industry knowledge and a proactive mindset.

Responsibilities- Manage and prioritize tasks and report progress on projects regularly to key stakeholders.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage internal request processes for proposals, site screenings, production models, and interconnection applications.
- Track and manage project timelines and drive projects along the scheduling critical path to ensure timely delivery and optimal resource usage.
- Evaluate client properties and portfolios to assess solar viability and summarize key insights for internal stakeholders.
- Stay apprised of the development process for various project types you are assigned (community solar, behind the meter, various locations).
- Collect, organize, and categorize critical documents and information from the client on projects within internal CRM.
- Document key takeaways from client calls, including action items and follow-ups, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Facilitate smooth project hand-offs from sales to operations, collaborating with stakeholders to prioritize tasks.
- Collaborate with policy, legal, and operations teams to track and apply key insights regarding program rules, contract requirements, and critical project deadlines.
- Collaborate with management to create and manage development processes.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Environmental Science/Studies, or related field.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively, meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Earth.
- Strong attention to detail across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to address challenges and provide solutions efficiently.
- Capacity to work collaboratively with sales team and other departments.
- Familiarity with sustainability topics, including solar energy.
- Ability to evaluate and summarize data with attention to detail, especially related to solar project viability and client portfolios.
- Ability to drive high-visibility projects to successful completion.
- Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications- Internship, coursework, or work experience in renewable energy, project management, or solar development.
- Familiarity with C&I solar development, including community solar programs, utility interconnection, and rooftop solar construction.
- Experience with solar energy design materials (drawing sets and energy production models).
- Familiarity with solar contract structures (Power Purchase Agreements, EPC, etc.).
- Experience with CRM software (Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce, etc.), GIS tools (ArcGIS, Nearmaps), or energy modeling software.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Excel Expert are a plus.

$55,000 - $70,000 a year
Salary will vary depending on your location and job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive-based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
