The Deputy Manager – Inbound Transportation supports in developing and executing strategies for the inbound movement of parts from suppliers to the AMP2 plant, focusing on minimizing freight costs and maintaining an agile, lean supply chain. This role assists in deploying 3PL/4PL logistics partners, promoting multi-modal transportation, and driving digital transformation of logistics processes. The Deputy Manager is expected to help ensure production continuity, support team development, and foster effective communication across all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Team in overseeing inbound, outbound, and inter-facility shipments across all transportation modes (LTL, FTL, parcel, ocean, air, etc.).
  • Assist in developing and implementing transportation strategies to optimize costs and service levels.
  • Coordinate with carrier partners, 3PLs, and internal teams to ensure smooth logistics operations.
  • Monitor transportation KPIs (on-time delivery, freight spend, transit time) and support performance improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in freight audit and payment processes to ensure accuracy and cost control. · Ensure compliance with transportation and trade regulations.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and adoption of transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics technologies.
  • Drive or support continuous improvement projects focused on lead time reduction and network optimization.
  • Promote sustainability through efficient routing and load consolidation.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop team members to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Maintain accurate material schedules and ensure timely delivery to sites.
  • Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards within the transportation function.
  • Strong acumen for freight cost management and budget control.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan, and facilitate on-time materials to the production line.
  • Support supplier relationship management, including meetings, negotiations, and performance evaluation.
  • Contribute to new business initiatives, change processes, and effective material planning implementation.

Skills

  • Strong team coordination and leadership skills, with experience supporting cross-functional teams.
  • Good knowledge of transportation regulations, modes, and cost drivers.
  • Experience in managing freight spend and supporting carrier performance.
  • Familiarity with inbound TMS platforms.
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset with sound decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations.
  • At least 2 ~3 years in a supervisory or team lead role within logistics.
  • Experience working with transportation providers and managing distribution networks
