This position supports data management and analytics activities, including extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from disparate data sources and contributing to the organization and maintenance of data assets. The intern will gain hands-on experience supporting data workflows, improving data quality, and assisting with data-driven initiatives across teams.
This is a paid year-round internship located in Richland, WA. The position requires the intern to report to work in Richland.
PREFERRED MAJORS
Computer Science, Software Development, Data Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields.
DESIRED SKILLS
Strong communication and analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Experience with or coursework in Python programming
Ability to work with data from multiple sources and follow data management best practices
SCHEDULE
Approximately 15–20 hours/week during the school year, with a full-time option during the summer.
GENERAL SUMMARY
Provide entry-level to more advanced technical support for the designated organization based on assigned projects and student skill level. This position will be directly accountable to assigned department staff and will support assigned project related activities and initiatives.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Requires current part to full time enrollment status in a bachelor’s or graduate degree program in a technical field related to the assigned role at an accredited college or university.
Must maintain a minimum 2.8 cumulative G.P.A. unless approved by Human Resources.
The selected candidate will be expected to be available to work onsite in Richland, WA.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Pay is based on academic level:
Freshman: $19.31 per hour
Sophomore: $19.31 per hour
Junior: $25.17 per hour
Senior: $27.32 per hour
Temporary employees may be required to participate in the Washington State Pension Plan (PERS) and may also be eligible to enroll in medical insurance if the duration and hours worked requirements are met. Temporary employees accrue paid time off that is available to use after 90 days of employment.
