At ACCIONA Energía, we are seeking a Control Center Back Office Manager to join our System Operations Center (CECOER) team. This is a key role within our Operations & Maintenance department, responsible for managing the procedures, tools, systems, and resources that support reliable, compliant, and safe operations. You’ll work closely with our Regulatory Compliance team to ensure all technical and cybersecurity standards are met—especially regarding remote and physical access to our OT network.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive operational excellence by designing and refining procedures, tools, and systems for our control center

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to coordinate grid outages, switching procedures, and ISO interactions.

  • Ensure full compliance with NERC, FERC, and Department of Energy standards—leading documentation, reporting, and audit readiness.

  • Monitor facility performance and analyze curtailments, outages, and trends for continuous improvement.

  • Develop and support SCADA systems and communications infrastructure.

  • Champion safety and training, ensuring all personnel meet technical and regulatory requirements.

  • Represent ACCIONA in industry events and act as an internal advisor on best practices.

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Competencies

About You:

You’re a detail-oriented operations leader with a deep understanding of system control and a strong safety-first mindset. You enjoy designing procedures, leading compliance efforts, and using data to solve real-time and long-term challenges in power operations. You’re comfortable coordinating with field teams, executives, and industry groups alike—and you’re passionate about advancing renewable energy.

  • Bachelor’s in electrical engineering or related field (advanced degree/P.E. a plus)

  • 5+ years in utility, control center, or renewable generation operations

  • Familiarity with grid operations, ISO protocols, and SCADA systems

  • NERC certification or ability to obtain one

  • Strong IT and systems knowledge; Maximo experience is a plus

  • Experience in outage coordination and switching/tagging procedures

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Travel flexibility up to 25% (domestic/international

  • Spanish fluency is a plus

  • Base Pay: $ $115k-$140k (based on experience, education, and skillset)
