A Brief Summary of This Position:
The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is a critical member of Valmont Industries' Executive Leadership Team, responsible for developing and executing the company’s global information technology strategy. This role demands an enterprise-level leader with a forward-thinking mindset, someone who can translate business objectives into transformative technology initiatives. The CIO will drive operational excellence while enabling innovation, growth, and resiliency across a global manufacturing footprint.
As a strategic partner to business leadership, the CIO will play a pivotal role in supporting and shaping Valmont’s enterprise-wide digital transformation. This includes close collaboration with the business-led artificial intelligence team to ensure alignment between emerging technology initiatives and broader enterprise priorities. A strong appreciation for the strategic use of data, analytics, automation, and digital enablement is essential.
The CIO will bring an agile, modernization-oriented approach to technology delivery, balancing long-term scalability with speed to impact. This leader will be instrumental in strengthening IT’s service orientation, building a culture that emphasizes responsiveness, accountability, and strong business partnership. The CIO will also contribute to Valmont’s cybersecurity strategy by partnering with key stakeholders to help safeguard digital assets, infrastructure, and intellectual property.
