Job Description:

As Bid Manager, you will lead a Deal Team and act as the central point of contact throughout the proposal development stage, manage dissemination of information and, establish and maintain internal relationships with all key areas of the business and customer stakeholder management.

You will oversee the preparation of compliant, compelling, and commercially sound proposals and coordinate contract documentation during the pre-award and negotiation phases. This role sits at the critical intersection of Sales, Legal, Finance, and Engineering, ensuring that each proposal and contract meets both customer requirements and

Fluence’s commercial standards.

Responsibilities

· Lead the end-to-end preparation, review, and submission of high-quality, compliant proposals and contract packages to support successful deal conversion.

· Coordinate cross-functional input from Sales, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and Delivery to ensure proposals are executable, commercially aligned, and risk-appropriate.

· Ensure all proposals are aligned with Fluence’s commercial strategy and internal approval requirements.

· Oversee contract management during negotiation and finalization, ensuring alignment between proposals, agreed terms, and execution documents.

· Facilitate internal reviews and ensure timely alignment across all contributors, manage dependencies and resolve bottlenecks to maintain proposal timelines.

· Implement and refine processes, tools, templates, and automation to improve proposal quality, speed, collaboration, and compliance.

· Ensure adherence to commercial governance frameworks, including approval workflows, risk reviews, and documentation control.

· Participate in customer engagements such as clarifications and bid presentations to support proposal strategy and deal advancement.

· Track and improve performance metrics such as proposal win rates, cycle times, accuracy, and stakeholder satisfaction, leveraging lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or a related field.

· 4+ years of experience in proposal management, contract administration, project coordination, or commercial operations within infrastructure, renewables, construction, technology, or similar complex B2B sectors.

· Proven experience managing end-to-end proposal and contract processes, including EPC and services projects, with strong understanding of commercial and contractual frameworks.

· Demonstrated leadership experience managing small, high-performing teams, with strong collaboration, planning, coordination, and communication skills.

· Skilled in stakeholder management across cross-functional teams, with strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, decision-making capability, and ability to work under pressure with resilience and adaptability.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills to be able to negotiate with key stakeholders, ability to develop relationships across all facets of the business.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and document management systems; familiarity with AI-enabled proposal or contract automation tools is a plus.

· Experience in energy storage or renewable energy sectors is preferred but not essential.

Resources & Support

You will have access to Fluence’s global proposal and contracting tools, templates, and digital collaboration platforms. You will work closely with Sales, Legal, and Commercial leadership teams and receive mentorship from senior team members.
