ACCIONA, through its Living&Culture division, is seeking to hire an Audio Visual Engineering and Site Installation Manager (with Lighting Experience) for a cultural project in the United States.
Mission:
Collaborate and provide support in the projects carried out by their business unit/department, in accordance with the guidelines set by their supervisor, with the aim of enhancing both decision-making and project execution processes through their work.
They are responsible for the production and development of audiovisual content for museums and exhibitions. Tasks include: audiovisual production, coordination with graphic design, content, and interactive installations. Liaising with vendors, cataloging, and on-site installation.
Key Responsibilities:
Engineering Oversight
- Review and approve vendor-provided engineering drawings, submittals, and shop documentation for AV and lighting systems.
- Ensure that all AV hardware, control systems, and lighting designs align with project specifications, design intent, and client expectations.
- Coordinate integration of AV and lighting systems with exhibit fabricators, architects, and other trades.
- Provide technical direction to vendors on system layouts, hardware specifications, and infrastructure requirements.
- Conduct design reviews and evaluate prototypes, mockups, and equipment demonstrations.
- Monitor vendor engineering schedules to ensure timely delivery of documentation and hardware.
Vendor & Site Oversight
- Manage and coordinate AV and lighting vendors during both engineering and installation phases.
- Review vendors work on-site to confirm adherence to approved drawings, standards, and quality benchmarks.
- Oversee installation sequencing and coordinate with general contractors, exhibit fabricators, and museum facilities teams.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges in the field by working with vendor engineers and technicians.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, fire codes, and museum operational requirements.
- Support commissioning, testing, and handover of AV and lighting systems.
Required Skills and Competencies
- 7–10 years of experience in AV engineering, systems integration, or technical project management; museum or cultural projects preferred.
- Strong background in AV hardware, control systems, networking, and signal distribution.
- Experience with lighting design and control systems (architectural, theatrical, and exhibit lighting).
- Proven ability to oversee vendors, subcontractors, and specialty contractors in engineering and installation environments.
- Familiarity with structural coordination, cable routing, power distribution, and environmental controls.
- Skilled in reviewing shop drawings, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation.
- Strong organizational and project-tracking skills across multiple vendors and disciplines.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with cross-disciplinary teams.
- CTS, CTS-D, or related AV/lighting certifications preferred.
- OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification preferred.
