ROLE OVERVIEW

 

Pivot Energy is seeking a highly energized operations associate skilled at contributing to complex projects and optimizing processes that scale. In this role, you will focus on program operations and serve customer needs, while identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and accuracy in our work. You will contribute to multifunctional project teams, executing community solar subscriptions for both Pivot Energy and our third-party clients. This role requires knowledge of community solar or renewable energy, adhering to standard operating procedures, as well as project, state, and utility program details. You will play a critical part in ensuring the company meets key business objectives centered around total enrollment numbers and revenue recognition.

 

The ideal candidate should be process-oriented and prepared to support data-driven department growth. A successful candidate will have some experience working on complex projects, which highlights the ability to balance competing priorities and successfully communicate across a broader team. Additionally, this individual should possess strong verbal communication skills and be able to liaise with both internal and external audiences professionally.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Respond to customer requests by phone and email, providing timely and accurate feedback
  • Contribute to proactive communications between the SunCentral teams, including project timelines, product details, strategy, and account management
  • Work with the Sales and Sales Operations teams on developing Standard Operating Procedures for new projects, markets, and developers
  • Leverage Excel, utility forms, and our proprietary software tools to maintain subscriber lists and allocations, optimizing enrollment and revenue collections
  • Identify opportunities to improve SunCentral’s CRM tools and customer support processes
  • Build relationships with utilities and industry specialists to maintain active community solar subscriptions and ensure accurate bill crediting
  • Serve as the point of contact for new clients onboarding, as outlined by business development
  • Support the execution of customer acquisition and onboarding campaigns through phone and email-based communications that support subscriber engagement
  • Execute subscriber invoicing using utility provided data and the SunCentral portal
  • Run monthly aging reports, subscriber collections efforts, and analyze payment data – ensuring project revenue and minimizing subscriber risk


REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
  • Project Management: Successful track record of overseeing and coordinating projects
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Customer Service: Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively engage with community solar subscribers as well as utility partners
  • Process and Detail Oriented: Have a keen eye for detail and a systematic approach to task prioritization and management


PREFERRED COMPETENCIES
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in business, project management, or operations
  • Familiarity with the community solar industry or, at a minimum, the broader solar industry key terms and market dynamics
  • Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM software and best practices
  • Advanced in MS Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and Data Tables
  • Data Analysis: Proficient in analyzing energy production and solar crediting data

$70,000 - $85,000 a year
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS 

The estimated base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000, along with eligibility for the company’s substantial bonus plan, with a target bonus of 30% of annual salary (prorated in the first year based on start date). Compensation will be based on factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, certifications, skills, and experience.
