Job Description

The Ariba Supplier Enablement Lead serves as the primary point of contact for onboarding X-energy's supplier network onto the Ariba procurement platform. This role ensures successful supplier adoption through hands-on support, training coordination, process compliance, and proactive issue resolution. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between internal teams and external vendors, managing the day-to-day execution of the Ariba rollout to enable a seamless transition and change management.


Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities:

Supplier Onboarding & Enablement

  • Lead end-to-end supplier onboarding process, including account setup, registration support, and initial system access validation
  • Develop and maintain supplier enablement materials (user guides, FAQs, video tutorials, quick reference cards)
  • Conduct supplier training sessions (virtual and in-person) to ensure proficiency with Ariba functionality
  • Provide ongoing supplier support via phone, email, and web conferencing to troubleshoot issues and answer questions

Project Coordination & Communication

  • Manage daily project activities, tracking supplier onboarding progress against milestones and timelines
  • Deliver regular status updates to project stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and escalations
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts between Procurement, IT, Finance, and business units to ensure alignment
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including onboarding trackers, issue logs, and lessons learned

Process Compliance & Change Management

  • Ensure internal teams and external suppliers adhere to established Ariba processes and workflows
  • Monitor transaction quality and identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Develop and execute multi-phase communication plans (awareness, training, reinforcement) tailored to different user personas, including creation of change champion networks to build grassroots support and peer-to-peer advocacy
  • Create organizational readiness metrics and dashboards to track training completion, proficiency levels, and change resistance indicators

Issue Resolution & System Optimization

  • Serve as first line of support for supplier-related and guided buying system issues and functional questions
  • Triage and document Ariba bugs, working with IT and Ariba support for timely resolution
  • Proactively identify pain points in the user experience and implement corrective actions
  • Build feedback loops to continuously improve adoption and enablement process

Job Profile Minimum Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or related field
  • The skills required for this role are typically demonstrated by 7 plus years of relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in supplier management, or system implementation
  • Demonstrated experience with SAP Ariba or similar procurement platforms (Coupa, Oracle, Jaggaer)
  • Strong project coordination skills with ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and training skills, with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Proven problem-solving ability and attention to detail
  • Experience managing internal & external stakeholder relationships

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience leading supplier enablement or change management initiatives for enterprise software
  • Knowledge of source-to-order (S2O) processes and best practices
  • Experience in manufacturing, construction, or regulated industries (nuclear, aerospace, defense)
  • Certification in project management (PMP, CAPM) or change management (Prosci)
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, SQL) for tracking and reporting

Success Metrics

  • Achieve target supplier onboarding rate within defined timeline
  • Maintain supplier satisfaction scores above established threshold
  • Reduce average time-to-resolution for supplier issues
  • Ensure 90%+ supplier compliance with Ariba transaction processes within 90 days of go-live

Location: 530 Gaither Road, Rockville, MD.

Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm, Mon-Fri

Work Site Expectations: 4 days a week in office, 1 day from home

Travel: 10%

Compensation

A reasonable estimate for this position at the level of experience required is:

$95,000- $140,000
