Overview

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to join CCR’s Data Center & Utility Strategy team to support strategic opportunities in coordination with CCR’s Development, M&A, and Executive Teams. This person’s primary responsibilities will include financial modeling, creating both internal and external facing presentations, overseeing due diligence workstreams, coordinating cross-functionally with subject matter experts and external consultants, and supporting the various workstreams related to CCR’s Data Center & Utility Strategy.

This is a highly visible position within CCR – the successful execution of the Data Center & Utility strategy is key to the Company’s go-forward business plan. The new hire can expect regular interaction not only with team members across CCR, but also regular interaction with the executive team members located in the New York City office, who are heavily involved in this workstream. The new hire can expect exposure to all aspects of the energy business including various generation technologies (PV, BESS, Gas, other generation), offtake structures (physical and financial, PPAs, HRCOs, and others), project siting and development strategy, and broader corporate strategy. The new hire stands to benefit from close interaction with experts in all of these areas.

Responsibilities

  • Financial modeling and valuation analyses for strategic initiatives, including potential acquisitions, partnerships, commercial offtake structures, greenfield projects, and capital raise transactions 
  • Preparation of materials for new opportunities to effectively communicate investment thesis, key value drivers, sensitivity analyses and market dynamics 
  • Creation and enhancement of analytical tools to enhance financial models and streamline processes
  • Maintain databases related to strategic opportunities and market intelligence 
  • Work and coordinate cross-functionally across the company’s subject matter experts, including but not limited to the Development, Structured Finance, Project Execution, Legal, and Executive teams 

Education & Experience Required

  • BA/BS degree (MBA or other relevant graduate degrees welcome) 
  • At least 2 years of finance experience required, ideally with financial modeling related to renewable energy and/or gas-fired generation in the renewable energy and/or gas industry (investment banking, principal investing, and/or corporate M&A experience is strongly preferred; experience or familiarity with project debt and tax equity structures are a plus)
  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills
  • Self-motivated with high levels of curiosity, initiative, and accountability
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills 
  • High attention to detail and ability to work in a deadline driven environment
  • Unimpeachable ethics & integrity
  • Organized, diligent, and able to track/manage multiple streams of information on an ongoing basis

Location: The preferred location for this role New York City, NY. Our team operates on a hybrid schedule, with in-office schedule of three days per week.

Compensation: The salary range for the position is $120,000-140,000 plus bonus and benefits. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
