Aftermarket Director – Battery Solutions
Job Summary
The Aftermarket Director is accountable for building and leading the full battery aftermarket business—including after-sales service, spare parts & supply chain, recycling, and customer lifecycle management—for EV battery packs, modules, and energy storage systems. This role ensures world-class customer support, drives aftermarket revenue growth, and creates sustainable value through recycling and reverse logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Strategy: Build and lead the aftermarket organization; set KPIs to ensure customer satisfaction, revenue, and compliance.
- Customer Support: Oversee technical support and field service teams to resolve issues effectively.
- Supply Chain & Parts: Establish spare parts and reverse logistics processes.
- Recycling & Sustainability: Drive battery recycling and second-life initiatives compliant with U.S. IRA and environmental standards.
- Business Development: Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering to turn insights into new offerings and improvements.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as senior liaison with customers, executives, and regulators.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in aftermarket/after-sales/service operations (EV battery, automotive, or energy storage preferred).
- 5+ years of leadership experience.
- Technical/engineering background; MBA a plus.
- Knowledge of U.S. aftermarket regulations, recycling, and reverse logistics.
- Executive presence with cross-functional influence.
- 30–40% travel.
Impact
This role is a strategic enabler of Gotion’s U.S. growth—supporting customers throughout the battery lifecycle, creating new revenue opportunities, and embedding sustainability through closed-loop recycling.
