Modern Hydrogen is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our General & Administrative team based in Woodinville, WA. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Process Bi-Monthly and Bi-Weekly payroll and prepare associated journal entries.
Review and enter AP invoices for expense coding accuracy utilizing NetSuite Bill Capture and support in Vendor set-up as needed.
Initiate AP payments weekly for approval in banking platform utilizing bill pay, ACH and wire payments. Enter AP payments in NetSuite.
Manage the initial set-up of ACH vendors in banking platform.
Assist with month end close process, including the preparation of adjusting and accruing entries.
Maintain company credit cards and assist in reviewing and/or preparing expense reports.
Support external audit and tax requirements, providing schedules, account reconciliations and supporting documentation.
Prepare specialized reports and accounting data analysis as requested.

Required Qualifications:
Strong ethics and respect for the handling of confidential information.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
2+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance positions, previous experience in corporate accounting roles is a plus.
Knowledge of US GAAP standards and updated guidance.
Knowledge of accounting controls and appropriate segregation of duties.
Strong attention to detail with emphasis on meeting deadlines.
Highly organized with the ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good computer skills, proficient in MS365.
Prior ERP experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Recent NetSuite ERP experience.
Experience with startups or fast-growing small businesses (50-100 people).
Working Conditions:
This is an onsite role (4 days onsite + tentatively 1-day WFH). Final schedule will be determined during job offer.

Pay Range: $65,000 – $85,000 / year. *Final compensation may vary based on location, relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, etc.
