Position Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer to maintain momentum on a key strategic initiative during a parental leave. You’ll be working in a complex, fast-iteration environment, shaping a digital experience central to our path to product-market fit. This is a part-time contract (20–25 hours/week) for 3 months from October - December 2025, with flexible scheduling inside 9am -5pm PST as well as around key collaboration moments. There is also potential for contract renewal for 2 - 3 months in the first half of 2026.
Reporting to the Head of Product Design & Customer Experience, you’ll bring high design craft, generalist skills across UX, UI, UXR, and content design, product thinking, and the ability to navigate a multi-stakeholder environment with minimal oversight. We need someone who can quickly understand context, make decisions, facilitate rapid experimentation and iteration cycles, and keep work moving toward outcomes.

What You’ll Do
- Own design for a critical digital experience in tight design–ship–learn cycles.
- Synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights and turn business and user needs into high-craft design solutions.
- Partner closely with product, engineering, and research to test and iterate quickly.
- Handle stakeholder conversations and keep work moving without heavy oversight.
- Prepare production-ready design files, specs, and assets for development handoff.
- Document design decisions and outcomes and maintain a clear trail of work for continuity after the contract period.
Who You Are
- Senior or lead level product designer who can drop into ambiguity and deliver fast.
- Equally comfortable zooming out on problem statements and dropping into interface details.
- Strong communicator who keeps stakeholders aligned without slowing the work.
- Pragmatic, outcome-oriented, and able to balance user, tech, and business needs.
Core Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in product design, including significant time in senior/lead-level roles.
- Portfolio showing complex product work and strategic design thinking.
- Ability to flex across UX, UI, content design, and UX research, and produce integrated solutions.
- Expertise facilitating collaborative design processes and managing stakeholder communication and alignment.
- Ability to self-manage a part-time schedule while working in tight collaboration with product and engineering partners.
- Ability to work part-time (20–25 hours/week) within a flexible 9am - 5pm PST schedule.
- Must be located within the United States or Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background working in 0 to 1, early-stage product development environments.
- Skilled with content design and web landing page design.
- Experience working with funnel conversion and split testing.
- Experience designing for behavior change and crafting high trust journeys that build confidence toward considered purchases or decisions.
- Experience working with distributed teams and async collaboration.
The pay rate for this position will be $10,000 per month.
This is a contract position and is therefore ineligible for employer sponsored benefits.
