PMO Lead, Operations
Amprius Technologies, Inc.About Amprius
Amprius Technologies (NYSE: AMPX) is a leader in high-energy, high-power lithium-ion batteries built on silicon anode technology. Our SiCore® and SiMaxx™ cells power unmanned aerial systems, aviation and other applications where weight and energy density matter most. Headquartered in Fremont, California, Amprius designs cells in house and produces them through a global network of contract manufacturing partners.
The role
We are looking for a PMO Lead to give Operations and leadership one clear view of every cross-functional workstream: cell transfers to contract manufacturers, CM qualifications, certifications and facility projects. You will set up the PMO from scratch and lead the rollout of our PLM system and engineering change control.
What you will do
Build the PMO
• Write the PMO charter and program charters, and get them approved by leadership.
• Build and maintain an integrated master schedule covering all active Operations workstreams.
• Run the governance cadence: weekly status reviews and monthly executive reviews.
• Set up and run a single RAID log (risks, actions, issues, decisions) for all workstreams.
• Choose and set up the PM tooling, templates and reporting dashboards.
PLM and change control
• Lead the PLM program: consultant and system selection, implementation plan, budget and kickoff.
• Migrate production BOMs (cells, materials and CM-specific BOMs) into PLM.
• Design and roll out the change control process (ECR → ECO → ECN) across R&D, Operations, CMs and suppliers.
• Make sure every BOM part is linked to the approved vendor list.
Delivery
• Drive milestone delivery, escalate risks early and help teams resolve cross-functional dependencies.
• Coach program managers and functional leads on planning discipline.
What you bring
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations or a related field.
• 8+ years in program or project management for hardware products, including building or leading a PMO.
• Hands-on experience implementing or running a PLM system (e.g., Arena, Windchill, Teamcenter, Propel) and engineering change control.
• Strong scheduling and risk management skills (MS Project, Smartsheet or similar).
• Able to lead without direct authority across engineering, supply chain, quality and external partners.
Nice to have
• Experience in batteries, energy storage, semiconductors or aerospace manufacturing.
• Experience with programs that use contract manufacturers.
• PMP or PgMP certification.
