The Role
T1 Energy is looking to hire a Facilities Technician II is an intermediate-level role responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing facility systems and equipment within a high-tech manufacturing environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring equipment reliability, supporting safety compliance, and driving continuous improvement across facility operations.
What You’ll Do
• Perform operation, maintenance, testing, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and control systems with minimal supervision
• Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC electrical systems, including relays, components, and basic control circuits
• Restore facility systems to operational status, including electrical distribution, air compressors, chillers, vacuum pumps, HVAC systems, and thermal processing equipment (e.g., RTO systems)
• Monitor and navigate facility control systems to diagnose faults, alarms, and performance issues
• Perform structured power recovery procedures for facility systems
• Execute and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs
• Develop and refine equipment inspection standards and checklists
• Perform and support advanced PM activities on facility and conveyor systems
• Conduct regulatory inspections and testing, including fire pump and sprinkler system visual PMs
• Coordinate and execute small-scale projects, including equipment modifications and facility improvements (e.g., 80/20 structures, workstation retrofits)
• Identify reliability issues and recommend improvements to maintenance strategies or equipment design
• Support cost, efficiency, and uptime improvements through data-driven recommendations
• Perform metal and wood fabrication, including use of saws, drills, and basic welding or machining as needed
• Repair or replace failed components and perform minor equipment rebuilds
• Execute all work in accordance with safety policies and procedures
• Utilize FTHA and Take 2 processes for non-routine tasks
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities within CMMS
• Ensure work areas meet cleanliness, organization, and 5S standards
• Identify and escalate issues to leadership in a timely manner
Who You Are
• Intermediate knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
• Experience troubleshooting AC/DC circuits and replacing electrical components
• Experience with preventive maintenance and equipment repair methods
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience using CMMS systems for work order tracking and documentation
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 3-5+ years of industrial, military, or technical experience in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, or controls systems
Preferred
• Experience in a manufacturing or automated production environment
• Experience with conveyor systems and material handling equipment
• Basic welding, machining, or fabrication experience

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks
• Frequent use of hands, tools, and equipment
• Ability to work at heights using ladders or aerial lifts
• Visual acuity for inspections, troubleshooting, and system monitoring
