The Role

T1 Energy is looking to hire an Equipment Supervisor who is responsible for overseeing day-to-day maintenance and equipment support activities within a 24/7 manufacturing environment. This role supports the performance and reliability of production equipment by leading maintenance technicians and ensuring safe, timely, and effective execution of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.

Reporting to the Equipment Manager, the Equipment Supervisor focuses on shift-level execution, work order management, safety compliance (including LOTO), and team coordination. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who ensures accountability, maintains high safety standards, and drives continuous improvement in equipment uptime and maintenance discipline.

What You'll Do

Daily Maintenance Execution

  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities across assigned shifts. Ensure timely response to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.

CMMS & Work Order Management

  • Ensure accurate use of the CMMS. Review, assign, and close work orders with proper documentation. Monitor preventive maintenance compliance and backlog control.

Equipment Reliability Support

  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Track downtime trends and participate in root cause analysis.

Safety & LOTO Governance

  • Promote a safety-first culture. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Support LOTO audits and training initiatives.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, coach, and support maintenance technicians. Provide troubleshooting guidance and ensure accountability for performance and attendance.

Performance Management & KPI Ownership

  • Monitor and report KPIs including OEE, downtime, MTBF, MTTR, maintenance cost, PM compliance, and backlog. Drive improvements using root cause analysis and reliability tools.

Spare Parts & Inventory Strategy

  • Monitor spare parts usage and support inventory accuracy.

Performance Monitoring

  • Track downtime, response times, and preventive maintenance completion. Provide performance updates to the Equipment Manager.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with EHS, Production, Engineering, and Quality to align maintenance activities with operational and production goals.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field preferred

  • 3–6 years of experience in maintenance or equipment support within a manufacturing environment

  • Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred

  • Experience working in 24/7 or shift-based operations

  • Familiarity with CMMS systems

  • Strong understanding of LOTO and safe maintenance practices

  • Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment preferred

  • Experience with PLC and Robots such as ABB, Stäubli, etc.

  • Certifications (Preferred)

  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher

  • OSHA Certifications related to maintenance and reliability
