This network strengthens grid stability - a critical foundation for scaling AI data centers and other energy-intensive industries.

We are hiring an Electrical Engineer with strong experience in high voltage design and power systems to support the delivery of utility-scale energy infrastructure. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on real asset delivery. You will work across the full project lifecycle, from design through to commissioning, on large-scale solar and grid-connected infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design across utility-scale renewable projects, including HV systems up to and beyond 33kV
• Deliver key design components including protection schemes, cable sizing, transformer selection and earthing design
• Work across the full project lifecycle, from early-stage design through to construction, commissioning and energisation
• Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure designs are buildable, compliant and delivered at pace
• Support grid connection design and interface with DNOs / TSOs where required
• Contribute to rapid project execution, solving technical challenges in a fast-moving delivery environment

• 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within the UK energy or infrastructure sector

• Proven experience working on projects involving voltages up to at least 33kV
• Familiarity with UK standards and grid requirements
• Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure projects end-to-end, such as:
• Renewable energy projects (solar, wind, BESS)
• Power generation or power stations
• Transmission or distribution networks
• Data centres or other critical infrastructure
• Strong experience in:
• Protection systems
• Power systems design
• Cable sizing
• Transformer sizing
• Earthing / grounding systems

Nice to Have

• Substation design experience
• SCADA systems experience
• Fibre / communications networks exposure
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it (IET preferred)
