What we do

At Terabase Energy, we believe that digitalization and automation will drive the next wave of innovation and cost reduction in large scale solar.  To fully unlock the potential of this opportunity, Terabase is developing an interconnected software and construction automation platform.  We work alongside project developers, owners, and engineering & construction firms to support the design, optimization, and construction of huge solar projects around the world. Our team is a blend of solar-industry veterans and newbies, thought-leaders, dreamers, software, electrical and mechanical engineers, coders, product managers, project managers, and sales and marketing professionals. We are based in Northern California, with several other offices in the United States and around the world.  If all of this piques your interest, we’d love to hear from you!

The Role

The Role This is fundamentally a legal operations role focused on building and maintaining a scalable, efficient, and compliant contracting function at Terabase. The Contracts & Deal Desk Manager will serve as the operational glue between Legal and Sales Ops, while also partnering closely with Supply Chain, Project Management, and other teams involved in the contracting lifecycle. Working closely with the VP of Legal, this person will lead policy implementation, manage our CLM system (Ironclad), and drive continuous improvement in workflows, templates, and processes. This role will also serve as the primary point of contact for coordinating between internal stakeholders and external counsel, helping ensure that outside legal support is used thoughtfully, efficiently, and at the right inflection points in a deal. The ideal candidate brings construction-savvy business judgment, strong organizational skills, and a deep understanding of how to operationalize contracting at scale.

This role is remote, with infrequent travel (<10%).

•         Lead implementation of contracting-related policies and identify areas for improvement or creation of new policies

•         Generate internal deal approval materials: PowerPoint summaries, risk analysis, and commercial overviews

•         Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Sales Ops, Supply Chain, and Project Management

•         Redline NDAs, MSAs, and order forms using playbooks and guidance

•         Drive stakeholder alignment and internal approval processes

•         Build out and evolve legal workflows, including intake, escalations, and contract lifecycle automation

•         Develop and maintain clause libraries, template repositories, and training materials

•         Assist in legal ops functions such as dashboarding, reporting, playbook management, and external counsel coordination

•         Identify process bottlenecks and recommend automation or tooling improvements
