The Role
T1 Energy is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Technician I to join our Equipment Technician Department. This role supports the maintenance and performance of solar manufacturing equipment and systems to ensure operational efficiency and minimal downtime. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the solar industry, and demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
What You'll Do:
Assist Equipment Technicians in inspecting, maintaining, and repairing solar manufacturing equipment and machinery.
Monitor equipment performance and report irregularities or malfunctions to senior technicians or supervisors.
Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks and support calibration procedures.
Help maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation.
Support equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications under supervision.
Follow all safety, quality, and operational protocols in a cleanroom or manufacturing environment.
Assist with troubleshooting basic mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on production tools.
Ensure tools and workstations are properly cleaned and maintained.
Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and safety practices.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, or diagrams.
Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, or overtime as required.
Technical certification or training in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics systems.
Experience in a cleanroom or high-volume automated manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with solar module manufacturing equipment or similar process tools.
Employment Type & Schedule:
Full-Time, Hourly
Shifts may include day, night, weekend, or rotating schedules, depending on operational needs.
