Position Summary: 

The AI Intern for the Operational Technology (OT) team has an exciting role focused on implementing and operationalizing AI agents to enhance Terabase's SCADA system delivery and operations. This internship provides hands-on experience in setting up, configuring, and maintaining AI-powered automation systems that streamline workflows, improve operational efficiency, and enable intelligent decision-making for large-scale solar installations. 

AI Agent Implementation: 

• Set up, configure, and deploy AI agents to automate operational workflows (example: RFP management) 

• Support the integration of AI agents with existing SCADA infrastructure and operational systems 

• Develop orchestration workflows to coordinate multiple AI agents in complex operational scenarios 

Operations & Automation: 

• Create testing frameworks to validate agent performance and reliability 

• Assist in developing agent monitoring and maintenance protocols 

Agent Optimization: 

• Fine-tune AI agent configurations to improve operational efficiency 

• Document best practices for agent deployment in solar operations 

• Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures for AI-augmented systems 

• Research and implement techniques to enhance agent reliability and performance 

Technical Support: 

• Assist in troubleshooting AI agent issues in production environments 

• Help develop documentation for AI agents and operational workflows 

• Support the OT team with agent deployment, maintenance, and upgrades 

• Participate in knowledge transfer sessions to train operations staff on agent capabilities 

Qualifications: 

Education: 

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Automation Engineering, or related field 

• Coursework in artificial intelligence, operational systems, or automation technology a plus 

Technical Skills: 

• Familiarity with Python or similar languages 

• Experience with API integration and automation scripts 

• Interest in renewable energy systems and SCADA technology (prior knowledge is a plus) 

• Understanding of workflow automation and process optimization 

• Basic understanding of prompt engineering for AI systems 

Soft Skills: 

• Strong problem-solving abilities and systematic approach to troubleshooting 

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to document processes clearly 

• Self-motivated with a desire to learn and implement new technologies 

• Ability to collaborate effectively with operations teams and technical staff 

Additional Desirable Skills: 

• Knowledge of operational technology environments and security practices 

• Interest in human-AI collaboration paradigms and best practices

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each posted range individual pay is determined (and may be greater or higher) dependent on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
